Saint-Lary-Soulan: winter sports in the Vallée d'Aure

The family-friendly ski resort in the French Pyrenees

Saint-Lary-Soulan lies on the edge of the Pyrenees National Park and the Néouvielle National Nature Reserve – an (almost) untouched region in the southwest of France. To preserve its natural treasures, the municipality focuses on sustainable tourism. For instance, free shuttle buses take you to the slopes, so you can leave your car parked in the (hotel) garage.

By the way: In the Kidspark of Saint-Lary-Soulan, children can try their hand at skicross. Ski helmets and back protectors are available at our INTERSPORT Rent shops at the resort.

Skiing in Saint-Lary-Soulan

More about the ski resort

The Saint-Lary-Soulan ski resort is divided into three areas: Pla d'Adet, Espiaube and Vallon du Portet. At the modernised Pla d'Adet area, there are lots of easy ski runs and the new Piou-Piou Club with a toboggan run and the Kidspark for beginners, returning skiers, and children.

In Espiaube, skiers can perfect their technique on medium-difficulty ski runs, some red and a few black ones. You will also find the famous Mirabelle and Terranère runs in Espiaube.

The 360-degree view over the Pyrenees in Saint-Lary-Soulan is certainly a sight to behold. And after you’re done taking it in, you can put your freestyle skills to the test in the snowpark. The local terrain park has hosted the World Snowboard Tour several times. After an eventful day of skiing, how about some relaxation at one of the many thermal spas?
